Macbeth visits the Therapist
Therapist: Hello Macbeth, how are you feeling today?
Macbeth: Hello Ray, I’m not doing to well today.
Therapist: Well how about we start by talking about what’s on your mind?
Macbeth: Today I just had a total burnout. I completely snapped today at my banquette!
Therapist: What did you do, and what led you to do so?
Macbeth: As I wanted to take my seat and attend the banquette, I thought I was seeing Banquo sitting in my seat! It wasn't a ghost, he was really there! He shook his gory locks at me!
Therapist: But if he was really there, than what is the problem?
Macbeth: I had him killed earlier that day by one of my men. It wasn't possible for him to be there!
Therapist: I see, so why do you think you saw him at your banquette?
Macbeth: I think it’s because all of the things I have been going through lately. I have so much trouble in my life and it’s all just becoming too much for me!
Therapist: Well these troubles that you are going through are the reason for your actions than. I would advise you to maybe take things much slower and easier for a while.
Macbeth: No! That's not possible right now, I’m almost there, I can feel it.
Therapist: How did your guests react to your actions at the banquette?
Macbeth: I and my wife told them I have a strange infirmity. Later my wife asked the guests to leave because I’m not well, then I came to you so I can find some help.
Therapist: Well Macbeth I’m very happy you did so because I don't think you are completely mentally stable at the moment.
(Macbeth stands up and draws his sword, cuts the Ray in half and walks out)
(later on that day)
Lady Macbeth: How do you feel now dearest?
Macbeth: Much better.
Hey Niklas I find that the layout of your dialog looks professional. It also clearly shows that macbeth slowly turns insane. Still it may have been better to use more quotations but in the end good job!!
ReplyDeleteYou have made a good start here, and you have chosen a couple of useful quotations. Your script is also convincing as a piece of drama.
ReplyDeleteHowever, there is insufficient detail to explore the development of his character in sufficient depth; and, as Macbo pointed out, there is also insufficient quotation to back it up. Without sufficient quotations, even the best points in the world will end up weak. Be careful.
